Moving Along
I have finished the lower body and have started the right shoulder. Excuse the yellow stitch, it's there so I can measure it easier.
I think I've decided that I'm going to work on both sleeves at once. My plan is to use 2 balls of yarn, 1 for each sleeve and knit them on the same cicular needles. That is possible, right? This is my first sweater so please ignore me if I sound stupid.

The yellow stitch is a really good idea! I've never heard of that before - how did you do it?

That is completely possible. You'll just knit back and forth and switch skeins when you switch sleeves. I did that for my Mariah and it made things a lot easier and more uniform in my opinion. Happy knitting! :)

Sourire,
I used a duplicate stitch. I sewed a temporary stitch over the stitch in the first row of the arm hole. This way I can measure the length where I am knitting and not have to go over to the table.
Instructions to do a duplicate stitch are in Stitch and Bitch, page 90 (I think!). I don't think I can explain the process.

Zarzuela,
Thanks! I thought it was, but sometimes I second guess myself.

What a great idea! Now I'm going to have to steal it!
